Unexpected Hero

Well, it might not be unexpected to those who know him or to all those who have the blessing to have someone like him in their lives...

I am talking about a dog. Most dog owners will be quick to tell you that dogs have been known to be heroes many times over.

Today's story is about a German Shepherd, who went for help after the owner's shed caught on fire and a state trooper who listened to his instinct and followed the dog.

I am not sure how old this story is. I just know that it appeared today on my Facebook page.

Dogs are truly amazing!

A New Home in Snow Hill

Home ownership is a dream of many. For a single mother and her children in Snow Hill, Delaware, this dream has become a reality, thanks to Habitat for Humanity. It was a long process, but it was worth it.

For those of you who don't know, Habitat for Humanity is an non-profit organization established to help low income families build a home they can call their own or repair an existing property. If you want to find a way to serve others, Habitat for Humanity can always use people like you and I to complete the projects.

It is heartwarming to read of volunteers dedicating their time to help make life a bit better for those in their community.

It Might Have Just Been a Ring

I am back! After a few months hiatus, I have come back.

And now, back to the story.

It might have just been a ring to the cop, but to the couple it meant 67 years of memories and promises.

The husband went to visit the wife at the hospital and noticed her engagement ring was gone. He reported the theft to the police who are currently investigating; however, one police officer, after hearing the story, purchased a replacement ring and had it delivered.

You can read the whole story on the Fox News page.

We hear many times of stories about bad cops; I thought it was only fair to post a positive story about a police officer going above and beyond the call of duty. If you recall, I have previously posted other stories about cops who chose to show compassion towards another. I love to read and write about these stories!
